Perfectly-placed medium rugs can complete a room with their ability to seamlessly tie a space together. It may be that a room in your home is too large for a small rug or runner but would be swamped by a large rug – this is where medium sized rugs are the ideal compromise.
Placement of Medium Rugs
Medium size rugs can be placed in a number of ways to make the best of a room:
- Centre rooms by placing medium rugs in the middle of spaces, allowing it to touch key furniture pieces.
- Ground the foot of your bed by placing the bottom of your bed over the top of the rug for a framed feel.
- Keep feet warm under the dining table by laying a medium rug square underneath it, centred by dining chairs.
- Use medium rugs to create 'zones' in an open-planned area
