The Story Behind This Rug
The design of this rug is thought to go back to the nomadic Tekke tribe, originating from Central Asia centuries ago. These designs have injected tribal inspirations into many traditional rugs, varying in the materials and colours used. Rugs like this are known to have rows of motifs that are surrounded by geometric shapes, making them recognisable and traceable to the Tekke tribe. Our Super Bochara rugs incorporate deep reds, oranges, and greens, resulting in an exquisite rug composition.
Enriched in tribal history, the Tekke design was adopted by Pakistanis who used the same patterns but incorporated rich colour options. Our Super Bochara rugs are a direct result of this, possessing both tribal and Pakistani influences. The traditional design is perfect for adding some rich history to your living space, or introducing some unique character to a contemporary room. Traditional designs like this never go out of style and are always used to introduce some luxurious colour and pattern to many floor spaces.
We recommend using a rug underlay to prevent the rug from slipping, and to protect any dark colours transferring onto a light-coloured floor.
